and named Ibn al-Mubārak] (1).
And al-Khallāl said in his book "Al-Sunna":
I heard Abū ʿAbdullāh being asked: It was narrated from ʿAlī b. al-Ḥasan b. Shaqīq, from Ibn al-Mubārak that it was said to him: How do we know God Almighty? He said: Upon the Throne, with Al-Ḥadd.
He said: That has reached me from him, and it pleased him.
Then Abū ʿAbdullāh said: {Do they await but that God should come to them in canopies of clouds} [Al-Baqara: 210]
Then he said: {And your Lord comes, and the angels, rank upon rank} [Al-Fajr: 22]
Al-Khallāl said: Al-Ḥasan b. Ṣāliḥ al-ʿAṭṭār informed us, Hārūn b. Yaʿqūb al-Hāshimī narrated to us, I heard Abū Yaʿqūb b. al-ʿAbbās say: We were with Abū ʿAbdullāh, he said: So we asked him about the statement of Ibn al-Mubārak: It was said to him: How do we know our Lord? He said: In the seventh heaven, upon His Throne, with Al-Ḥadd. So Aḥmad said: Thus He rose over the Throne with Al-Ḥadd.
