“The Imam, the Hadith scholar, the preacher, and the Shaykh of Sijistan, Abu Zakariyya... He was fervent against the people of innovation and the Jahmiyya... and he possessed an awe-inspiring majesty in Herat, with many followers and supporters.” [al-Siyar (17/482)].
He rebuked Ibn Hibban and expelled him from Sijistan when the latter denied the boundary (hadd) for Allah the Exalted, as mentioned in Dhamm al-Kalam by al-Harawi (4/402). His full statement will follow (p. 56).

Abu al-Hasan al-Jazari, may Allah have mercy on him. [Kitab al-Riwayatayn wa al-Wajhayn (p. 56)]. He said: “He is over the Throne with a boundary that He knows, and which we do not know.”
