peace and blessings of God be upon him, know it except through Allah's teaching him that via His revelation to him, either through Gabriel or through whomever He willed among His messengers to him. Those are the verses that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to explain to his Companions through Gabriel's teaching him, and they are, without doubt, a specific number of verses.

And among the verses of the Qurʾān are those regarding which we have already mentioned that Allah, majestic be His praise, has exclusively reserved the knowledge of their Interpretation to Himself, informing no angel brought near nor prophet sent of its knowledge; rather, they believe that it is from Him, and that no one knows its Interpretation except Allah.

As for that whose knowledge of Interpretation servants indispensably require, their Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, explained it to them through Allah's explaining that to him via His revelation with Gabriel. That is the meaning which Allah commanded him to clarify to them, as He, majestic be His mention, said to him: {And We revealed to you the Remembrance that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought} [Sūrat al-Naḥl: 44].
