al-Suddī, in a report he mentioned, from Abū Mālik, and from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Ibn ʿAbbās—and from Murra, from Ibn Masʿūd, and from some people among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him: Al-Ṣayyib is rain.

409- Muḥammad ibn Saʿd narrated to me, he said: My father, Saʿd, narrated to me, he said: My uncle, al-Ḥusayn, narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn ʿAbbās, the like thereof.

410- Bishr ibn Muʿādh narrated to us, he said: Yazīd narrated to us, from Saʿīd, from Qatāda: {"or like a rainstorm"}, he says: Rain.

411- Al-Ḥasan ibn Yaḥyā narrated to us, he said: ʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Maʿmar reported to us, from Qatāda, the like thereof.

412- Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr al-Bāhilī and ʿAmr ibn ʿAlī narrated to me, they said: Abū ʿĀṣim narrated to us, he said: ʿĪsā ibn Maymūn narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Najīḥ, from Mujāhid: Al-Ṣayyib is spring rain.

413- Al-Muthannā narrated to me, he said: Abū Ḥudhayfa narrated to us, he said: Shibl narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Najīḥ, from Mujāhid: Al-Ṣayyib is rain.

414- Al-Muthannā narrated to me, he said: Isḥāq narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Jaʿfar, from his father, from al-Rabīʿ ibn Anas: Al-Ṣayyib is rain.

415- I was narrated from al-Minjāb, he said: Bishr ibn ʿUmāra narrated to us, from Abū Rawq, from al-Ḍaḥḥāk, from Ibn ʿAbbās, he said: Al-Ṣayyib is rain.

416- Yūnus narrated to me, he said: Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Zayd said: {"or like a rainstorm from the sky"}, he said: Or like torrential rain from the sky.

417- Sawwār ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-ʿAnbarī narrated to us, he said: Sufyān said: Al-Ṣayyib is that in which there is rain.
