647- Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr narrated to us, saying: Abū ʿĀṣim narrated to us, saying: ʿĪsā narrated to me, from Ibn Abī Najīḥ, from Mujāhid—and al-Muthannā narrated to me, saying: Abū Ḥudhayfa narrated to us, saying: Shibl narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Najīḥ, from Mujāhid, regarding the statement of Allah: “And He taught Adam the names, all of them,” He said: He taught him the name of everything.

648- And Ibn Wakīʿ narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Khuṣayf, from Mujāhid: “And He taught Adam the names, all of them,” He said: He taught him the name of everything. (1)

649- And ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥasan narrated to us, saying: Muslim al-Jarmī narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn Muṣʿab, from Qays ibn al-Rabīʿ, from Khuṣayf, from Mujāhid, He said: He taught him the name of the crow, the pigeon, and the name of everything. (2)

650- And Ibn Wakīʿ narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us, from Sharīk, from Sālim al-Afṭas, from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, He said: He taught him the name of everything, even the camel, the cow, and the sheep. (3)

651- And Ibn Wakīʿ narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us, from Sharīk, from ʿĀṣim ibn Kulayb, from Saʿīd ibn Maʿbad, from Ibn ʿAbbās, He said: He taught him the name of the bowl, the silent wind, and the small silent wind. (4)

652- And Aḥmad ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, saying: Abū Aḥmad narrated to us, saying: Sharīk narrated to us,
