The interpretation of His statement: {And eat therefrom in abundance wherever you will}

Abū Jaʿfar said: As for al-raghad, it is an abundant, pleasant life that does not cause toil to its possessor. It is said: "So-and-so lived in raghad" when he obtained an abundant and pleasant life, just as Imruʾ al-Qays ibn Ḥujr said:

While you see a man living in bliss... safe from misfortunes in a comfortable life (1)

712 - And as Mūsā ibn Hārūn narrated to me, he said: ʿAmr narrated to us, he said: Asbāṭ narrated to us, on the authority of al-Suddī in a report he mentioned, on the authority of Abū Mālik and Abū Ṣāliḥ, on the authority of Ibn ʿAbbās, and on the authority of Murrah, on the authority of Ibn Masʿūd, and on the authority of some people among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him): "And eat therefrom in abundance," he said: raghad means pleasant. (2)

713 - And Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr narrated to me, he said: Abū ʿĀṣim narrated to us, he said: ʿĪsā narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abī Najīḥ, on the authority of Mujāhid, regarding His statement: "In abundance," he said: There is no reckoning upon them.

714 - And al-Muthannā narrated to us, he said: Abū Ḥudhayfah narrated to us, he said: Shibl narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abī Najīḥ, on the authority of Mujāhid, the like of it.

715 - And Ibn Ḥumayd narrated to us, he said: Ḥukkām narrated to us, on the authority of ʿAnbasah, on the authority of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, on the authority of al-Qāsim ibn Abī Bazzah, on the authority of Mujāhid: "And eat therefrom in abundance," meaning there is no reckoning upon them. 716 - And I was narrated from al-Minjāb ibn al-Ḥārith, he said: Bishr ibn ʿUmārah narrated to us,
