308 - Al-Walid said: I mentioned that to Abu Ishaq al-Fazari, meaning the statement of Ibn al-Mubarak from Sufyan, and he said: "I do not know of this, and the matter is only as I told you."
Chapter: Mani (Semen), Madhy (Pre-seminal Fluid), and Wady (Post-urination Fluid)
• I heard Abu Abdullah Ahmad ibn Hanbal say—regarding Mani: "It is the thick fluid from which the male organ becomes flaccid; it requires Ghusl (major ritual washing). Regarding Madhy, it requires Wudu (ablution). And Wady is the white, thick fluid that comes out after urination." He said: "It requires Wudu."
• And I heard Abu Ya'qub Ishaq ibn Ibrahim say: "They are Mani, Madhy, and Wady. As for Mani, it requires Ghusl, and it is the ejaculated fluid from which the male organ becomes flaccid, and from it the child is conceived. As for Madhy, it is that which is emitted when the male organ becomes erect; something comes out of it, but his organ does not become flaccid, nor is a child conceived from it; it requires Wudu. As for Wady, it is that which comes out after urination or something similar; it requires nothing but Wudu; he should wash his organ and perform Wudu."
309 - Abu Ma'n Zayd ibn Yazid narrated to us, he said: Umar ibn Yunus narrated to us, he said: Ikrima ibn Ammar narrated to us, he said: Abd Rabb ibn Musa narrated to me, he said: My mother narrated to me, she said: I asked Aishah, saying: O Mother of the Believers, a man is with his wife and plays with her, and he sees fluid on the tip of his organ when he plays with his wife? She replied: "He should wash his organ and his testicles, perform Wudu, and pray, and he does not need to perform Ghusl. And Wady is the fluid that comes out after urination, from which he should wash his organ and his testicles, then perform Wudu, and not perform Ghusl. And Mani is the ejaculated fluid from which desire arises; that is what he must perform Ghusl from, then pray."
