320 - Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us, he said: Sulayman ibn Hayyan narrated to us, he said: Hajjaj informed us, from 'Ata' and al-Hakam, from Ibrahim: "Tayammum is two strikes; for the palms and the face."

321 - Abu Bakr al-Humaydi narrated to us, he said: I heard Yahya ibn Sa'id asking Sufyan about this hadith: Did we perform Tayammum with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) up to the shoulders? Sufyan said: Al-Zuhri said: 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah informed me, from his father, from 'Ammar, he said: We performed Tayammum with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) up to the shoulders.

322 - Mahmud ibn Khalid narrated to us, he said: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: And al-Layth ibn Sa'd informed me, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Utbah ibn Mas'ud, from 'Ammar ibn Yasir, that he said: "A necklace of 'A'ishah fell, so we stayed behind to search for it. Abu Bakr went to 'A'ishah and was angry with her for detaining the people, so Allah revealed the concession regarding Tayammum, and we wiped on that day up to the shoulders."
