32 - Yahya ibn 'Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, saying: Hammad and Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Sa'id ibn 'Ubayd ibn al-Sabbaq, from his father, from Sahl ibn Hunayf, that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about madhy (prostatic fluid)? He said: 'It is sufficient for you to perform wudu (ablution) for it.' He said: 'What about what touches my clothes of it?' He said: 'Take a handful of water and sprinkle it onto your garment where you perceive it has touched.'
Chapter: Sweat of a Donkey
• Ahmad was asked about the sweat of a donkey? He said: 'I do not favor anything of it.' • He was also asked about the mucus of a donkey? And he did not favor it either. • I asked Ishaq about the sweat of a donkey? He said: 'If one washes it, that is good, and if one does not wash it, that is also good.' • I said to Ishaq on another occasion: 'I rode a donkey without a saddle, and it sweated until the back of the donkey appeared, or the donkey sweated until its sweat touched my clothes?' He said: 'There is no harm in it.' He said: 'And Malik ibn Anas said: "There is no harm in the sweat of a donkey," and he used as evidence the hadith of 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that he rode a donkey without a saddle and it sweated.'
33 - Ahmad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Hibban ibn Musa narrated to us, saying: 'Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Sufyan and Malik, that they granted a concession regarding the sweat of a donkey.
