Chapter: Saliva of a Donkey
• I said to Ahmad ibn Hanbal: 'If a donkey snorts and sprays its saliva upon me?' He said: 'Sprinkle it with water.' • I asked Ishaq about the nasal discharge of a donkey? He said: 'It does not need to be washed.'
34 - Jarir informed us, from Mughirah, from al-Sha'bi, who said: 'There is no harm in the snorting of a beast.'
35 - Muhammad ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: Fudayk ibn Sulayman narrated to us, saying: Al-Awza'i was asked, and it was said to him: 'O Abu 'Amr, what do you say regarding the nasal discharge of a donkey?' He said: 'There is no harm in it.'
36 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, saying: Hisham ibn Hassan was asked about the froth or wetness that comes out of a donkey and touches a garment? He said: 'I believe he should wash it.'
Chapter: Urine of a Donkey
• I asked Ahmad ibn Hanbal, and I said: 'A donkey urinated and sprayed drops onto my garment?' He said: 'It is more beloved to me that you wash it.' • I asked Ishaq, and I said: 'A donkey urinated, and the wind carried that urine, and it touched my face and my clothes, and I do not see any trace of it, but I felt it?' He said: 'If you are certain, then wash it.'
Chapter: Stepping in Donkey Dung and Urine
• I said to Ahmad: 'A man steps in the dung of donkeys while he is wearing leather socks (khuff)?' He said: 'He should wash it. I like for everything from that which is not eaten (of animals) to be washed.' I said: 'This is a very difficult matter, as a traveler enters inns and cannot avoid stepping in wet excrement.' He then said afterwards: 'If it is a small amount, I hope it is fine.'
باب: لُعَاب الحِمار
• قلت لأحمَد بن حَنبل: فإن نَخَر الحِمار، فَرَشَّ عليَّ لُعابه؟ قال: «فرُشَّه بِالماء».
• وسألت إسحاق عن نَثرَة الحِمار؟ قال: «لا تُغسَل؛
٣٤ - أخبرنا جَرير، عن مُغيرَة، عن الشعبي، قال: «لا بأسَ بِنَخرِ الدابَّة»».
٣٥ - حدثنا محمد بن مُسلِم، قال: ثنا فُدَيك بن سُلَيمان، قال: سُئل الأوزاعي، قيل: يا أبا عَمرو، ما تقول في نَثرَة الحِمار؟ قال: «لا بأسَ بِه».
٣٦ - حدثنا محمد بن يَحيى، قال: ثنا عبد الأعلى، قال: سُئل هِشام بن حَسَّان عن الزَّبَد أو البَلَّة يَخرُج من الحِمار، فيُصيبُ الثَّوب؟ قال: «أرى أن يَغسِلَه».
باب: بَول الحِمار
• سألت أحمَد بن حَنبل، قلت: حِمارٌ بال، فَرَشَّ على ثَوبي قَطَرات؟ قال: «أحبُّ إليَّ أن تَغسِلَه».
• وسألت إسحاق، قلت: حِمارٌ بال، فحَمَل الريحُ ذلك البَول، فأصاب وَجهي وثيابي، ولا أرى أَثَرَه، ولكن قد حَسَستُ بِذلك؟ قال: «إذا استَيقَنت فاغسِله».
باب: وَطء سِرْقين الحِمار والبَول
• قلت لأحمد: الرجل يَطَأُ في سِرقين الحَمير، وفي رِجله خُفّ؟ قال: «يَغسِله، يُعجِبني كُلُّ شَيءٍ مِمَّا لا يُؤكَل لَحمُه أن يغسل». قلت: إن هذا أمرٌ يَضيق جِدًّا؛ إن المسافِر يَدخُل الخانات، فلا يَخلو من أن يَطَأَ في الأرواث الرَّطبَة، فقال -بعدُ-: «إذا ⦗٧١⦘ كان قَليلًا رَجَوت».
