Abu 'Amr was asked: What about tayammum with pebbles and smooth stones if one does not find pure earth? He said: "There is no harm in that."
378 - Al-Walid said: I asked Malik ibn Anas about tayammum with pebbles, and he said: "Place your palms upon them, then wipe your face and your hands with them," and he said: "There is no harm in it."
379 - Al-Walid said: It was said to Sufyan al-Thawri: What about tayammum with dust on grass or the leaves of a tree? He said: "There is no harm in that."

380 - Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Al-Mu'tamir narrated to us, saying: I heard Layth narrate from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas, that he was asked about a man who is on a journey and has his wife with him, and he has no water with him, and his sexual desire has intensified? He said: "If he wishes, he may approach his wife and perform tayammum."
