• I heard Ishaq say, on another occasion: "It has reached us that 'A'ishah said: 'I never saw the private part of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him),' or: 'I never looked at the private part of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at all.'" Ishaq said: "If someone does that, I hope there is no harm in it, but leaving it is more beloved to us."
393 - Ishaq narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Samad ibn 'Abd al-Warith informed me, from Hammad ibn Salamah, from Humayd al-Tawil, from al-Hasan ibn Muslim, from Mujahid, who said: "We look at the private part, but we do not gaze intensely (la nattali')."
394 - Ishaq narrated to us, saying: al-Mula'i narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Musa ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid, from the freedwoman of 'A'ishah, from 'A'ishah, who said: "I never looked at the private part of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."
• Abu Ya'qub said: "In the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah: 'Guard your nakedness except from your wife or those whom your right hand possesses,' there is evidence for the concession we have described.
395 - 'Isa ibn Yunus informed us, from Bahz ibn Hakim, from his father, from his grandfather."
• Ishaq said: "It has reached us that some of the jurists used to feel shy before Allah in the darkness of the night."
