Chapter: Burying Hair and Fingernails
I heard Ahmad say: "Hair and fingernails are to be buried, and if one does not do so, we do not see any harm in it."
424 - Al-Husayn ibn Salamah narrated to us, saying: Salm ibn Qutaybah narrated to us, saying: 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar narrated to us, from Nafi', that Ibn 'Umar shaved his head and ordered that his hair be buried.
425 - Ahmad ibn 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Salam ibn Harb narrated to us, from Layth, from 'Abd al-Karim, that 'A'ishah clipped her fingernails and buried them.
426 - Al-Husayn ibn Salamah narrated to us, saying: Salm informed us, saying: 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn 'Abbas al-Hamdani narrated to us, saying: A sheikh from the Banu Hashim narrated to me, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded the burying of blood, hair, and menstrual discharge.
427 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: Al-Yaman ibn 'Adi narrated to us, from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, from al-Zuhri, from Qabisah ibn Dhu'ayb, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), that he said: "Bury your hair, your fingernails, and your blood, so that the sorcerers of the children of Adam may not play with them."
