• I said to Ishaq: Is dyeing more beloved to you or [leaving it] white? He said: "Dyeing."

443 - Abu Bakr al-Humaydi narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, saying: Al-Zuhri narrated to us, saying: Sulayman ibn Yasar and Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman informed me, from Abu Hurayrah - may Allah be pleased with him - that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Indeed, the Jews and the Christians do not dye their beards, so differ from them."

• And I asked Ishaq about dyeing with black? He said: "There is no harm in it if it does not deceive a woman."
