Translation · EN

40 - Abu 'Amr said: 'If what has afflicted you of it is a large amount, then wash it.'

41 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Hushaym narrated to us, saying: Mughirah informed us, from Ibrahim, that he saw no harm in the leftover water (su'r) of horses, camels, and sheep, and he used to dislike the leftover water of the mule and the donkey, and he would say: 'The mule is from the donkey.'

42 - Al-Musayyab ibn Wadih narrated to us, saying: Baqiyyah narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from 'Ata'—regarding camel urine—: 'If you wash it, that is good; and if you do not wash it, that is good.'

Chapter: Chicken Droppings

  • I said to Ahmad: 'Should the prayer be repeated due to chicken droppings if they are on one's garment?' He said: 'Yes, if it eats filth.' I said: 'What if it is in a cage and does not eat filth?' He said: 'It is lighter.'

  • Ahmad was asked—on another occasion—about chicken droppings, and he said: 'People have differed regarding it.'

43 - 'Imran ibn Yazid ibn Khalid ibn Muslim ibn Abi Jamil al-Qurashi narrated to us, saying: Isma'il ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Sama'ah narrated to us, saying: It was said to al-Awza'i: 'A man sees chicken droppings on his garment while he is praying?' He said: 'He should proceed with his prayer.'

44 - Abu Hafs narrated to us, saying: Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, saying: Salm narrated to us, saying: I asked al-Hasan about a man who saw chicken droppings on his garment after he had prayed? He said: 'It is of no consequence; it is only a bird.'
