Translation · EN

- Muhammad ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us, saying: Sharik narrated to us, from 'Imran ibn Muslim, from Suwayd ibn Ghaflah, who said: "I prayed with 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him), and he would pronounce the takbir when the mu'adhdhin said: 'The prayer has been established.'"

- 'Imran ibn Musa and Bishr ibn Hilal narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, saying: Yunus narrated to us, from al-Hasan, that when the mu'adhdhin said: "The prayer has been established," he would stand up; he would not pronounce the takbir until the mu'adhdhin had finished.

- Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: Kulthum ibn Ziyad informed me that he heard al-Zuhri say: "When the mu'adhdhin says during the iqamah: 'God is Greatest (Allahu Akbar),' it has become obligatory to stand. When he says: 'The prayer has been established,' it has become obligatory to straighten the rows. Then, when the mu'adhdhin says: 'God is Greatest,' the Imam says: 'God is Greatest.'"

- al-Walid said: And Abu 'Amr al-Awza'i said, from Ibn Muhajir, who said: "I saw Salim ibn 'Abd Allah, Abu Qilabah, 'Arak ibn Malik, Muhammad ibn Ka'b, and al-Zuhri standing at the beginning of the iqamah."
