Translation · EN

514 - Muhammad ibn Adam narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Dawud ibn Husayn, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "There is no adhan or iqamah for a woman, and a young boy should not lead in prayer until he reaches puberty."

Chapter: Speaking while the Mu'adhdhin is calling the Adhan

  • I heard Ishaq ibn Ibrahim-frequently-speaking while the mu'adhdhin was calling the adhan.

515 - Ubayd Allah ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, he said: Ash'ath narrated to us, from al-Hasan, that he used to hear the adhan while he was speaking, and he would not respond to the mu'adhdhin, nor would he cut off his conversation.

Chapter: The Iqamah in the place where one intends to pray

  • I asked Ishaq, I said: "If the mu'adhdhin is the Imam, does he stand in the place where he intends to pray and then perform the iqamah?" He disliked that and said: "He should stand behind the people and perform the iqamah." I said to Ishaq: "So he should perform the iqamah on the minaret?" He said: "No, the adhan is on the minaret, and the iqamah is in the mosque."

516 - Ahmad ibn Nasr narrated to us, he said: Hibban ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Abdallah mentioned, from Sufyan, that he used to call the adhan and perform the iqamah on the minaret.

٥١٤ - حدثنا محمد بن آدم، قال: ثنا مَعمَر بن سُلَيمان، عن حجاج، عن داوُد بن حصين، عن عِكرِمَة، عن ابن عَبَّاس، قال: «لَيسَ على المرأة أَذَانٌ ولا إقامَة، ولا يَؤمُّ الغُلام حتى يَحتَلِم».

باب: الكَلام والمؤَذِّن يُؤَذِّن

• سمعت إسحاق بن إبراهيم -كَثيرًا- يَتكَلَّم والمؤَذِّن يُؤَذِّن.

٥١٥ - حدثنا عُبَيدالله بن مُعاذ، قال: ثنا أبي، قال: ثنا أشعَث، عن الحسَن، أنه كان يَسمَع الأَذَان وهو يُحَدِّث، فلا يُجيب المؤَذِّن، ولا يَقطَع حَديثَه.

باب: الإقامَة في الموضِع الذي يُريد أن يُصَلِّيَ فيه

• سألت إسحاق، قلت: المؤَذِّن يكون إمامًا، فيَقوم في الموضِع الذي يُريد أن يُصَلِّي فيه، فيُقيم؟ فكَرِهَه، وقال: «يَقوم خَلفَ النَّاس فيُقيم». قلت لإسحاق: فيُقيم على المنارَة؟ قال: «لا، الأَذَان في المنارَة، والإقامَة في المسجِد».

٥١٦ - حدثنا أحمَد بن نصر، قال: ثنا حِبَّان بن موسَى، قال: ذكر عبد الله، عن سُفيان، أنه كان يُؤَذِّن ويُقيم على المنارَة.
