Translation · EN

49 - Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, saying: al-Muttalib ibn Ziyad informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Muhajir narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far, who said: "The purification of the earth is its clearing."

50 - 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn al-Dahhak narrated to us, saying: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah said: "If you strike your mosque with mud containing dung, do not pray upon it until the sky washes it, if it is exposed to it."

51 - 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn al-Dahhak narrated to us, saying: Isma'il narrated to us, from Safwan ibn 'Amr, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr, who said: "When 'Umar ibn al-Khattab cleared away the soil and filth that was upon the Rock of Jerusalem, he ordered the people not to pray upon it until it had been struck by three rains."

52 - Abu Bakr al-Humaydi narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, saying: al-Zuhri narrated to us, saying: Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib informed me, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: A Bedouin entered the mosque and had not waited long before he urinated in the mosque. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Pour a bucket of water over it."

Notes

(1) Thus it is in the original with diacritical marks, but the correct version is likely: "yabsuha" (its drying), as it passed recently. It is thus also in the work of Ibn Abi Shaybah and Ibn Qutaybah in Gharib al-Hadith, where they recorded it via the chain of al-Muttalib.
