Chapter: The Mustahada (Woman experiencing non-menstrual bleeding) performs ghusl from one period of purity to the next.
• I heard Ahmad say: "The least that has been reported regarding the mustahada is that she performs one ghusl and performs wudu for every prayer," and this is his madhhab (school of thought).
• I asked Ahmad, saying: "Is it sufficient for the mustahada to perform one ghusl and then perform wudu for every prayer?" He said: "Yes." I asked: "Is this your madhhab?" He said: "Yes."
• I asked 'Ali ibn 'Abd Allah, saying: "What should the mustahada do?" He said: "As for me, I order her to perform one ghusl, then perform wudu for every prayer." He said: "There are four opinions regarding it."
579 - Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, saying: Abu Mu'awiyah informed us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, who said: My father said—regarding the mustahada: "She performs wudu for every prayer."
580 - Abu Hisham narrated to us, saying: Hassan narrated to us, saying: Sufyan said: "The statement of Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from 'A'isha—regarding the ghusl of the mustahada—is more beloved to me."
581 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Bukayr, from 'Urwah, from al-Zubayr, who said: "The mustahada performs ghusl from one period of purity to the next, and performs wudu for every prayer."
582 - Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Jarir informed us, from Bayan, from 'Amir, from Qamir—the wife of Masruq—who said: I asked 'A'isha about the mustahada. She said: "She leaves the prayer during the days of her menses that she used to menstruate; and when it is the day on which she performs her ghusl, she performs ghusl on it, then performs wudu thereafter for every prayer."
(1) Thus it is in the original, and it is possible that it is a corruption of "ibn" [son of], as it has passed previously (579) via another chain from 'Urwah from his own words in brief.
