583 - Muhammad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Hassan narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik al-Kufi, from al-'Ala', from Makhul, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: "The mustahada performs one ghusl for her period of purity and performs wudu for every prayer."
Chapter: The mustahada performs ghusl for every prayer
• I heard Ishaq ibn Ibrahim say: "What we prefer, rely upon, and what contains precaution, is that the mustahada performs one ghusl for every two prayers, and combines the two prayers; and for the Subh (morning) prayer, one ghusl.
And had we not chosen what we have described except for what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to Hamnah bint Jahsh, when he described to her performing ghusl at the time of her purity, then purification for every prayer, then he said to her: 'If you wish, you may delay the Zhuhr and hasten the 'Asr, and perform one ghusl for both of them,' and the Maghrib and 'Isha' are likewise, and the Subh (has) one ghusl. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, has indeed said: 'This is the more pleasing of the two matters to me.' In this is an indication that ghusl for two prayers is not a mandatory obligation, and that it is a choice made by the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and his companions. So if she puts herself through the trouble for this purpose, it is good, and if she performs wudu for every prayer once she recognizes the end of her cycles and the approach of her menses from its retreat, it is (also) good."

٥٨٣ - حدثنا محمد بن نصر، قال: ثنا حَسَّان، عن عبد الملِك الكوفي، عن العلاء، عن مَكحُول، عن مُعاذ بن جبل، قال: «المستَحاضَة تَغتَسِل غُسلًا واحِدًا لِطُهرها، وتتوضَّأ لكُلِّ صلاة».
باب: المستَحاضَة تَغتَسِل لكُلِّ صَلاة
• سمعت إسحاق بن إبراهيم يقول: «الذي يُعجِبنا، ونَعتَمِد عَلَيه، والاحتياط فيه: أن تَغتَسِل المستَحاضَة لكُلِّ صلاتَين غُسلًا واحِدًا، وتَجمَع بين الصلاتَين، للصُّبح غُسلًا واحِدًا.
و [لو] (١) لم نَختار (٢) ما وَصَفنا إلا لِمَا قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لحمنة بنت جحش، حين وَصَفَ لَها الاغتِسال عند أَوَان طُهرها، ثم الطَّهارَة لكُلِّ صلاة، ثم قال لَها: «إن شِئتِ أَخَّرتِ الظُّهر وعَجَّلتِ العَصر، واغتَسَلتِ لَهما غُسلًا واحِدًا»، والمغرِب والعِشاء كذلك، والصُّبح غُسلًا، وقد قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «هذا أَعجَبُ الأمرَين ⦗٢٩٠⦘ إليَّ»، ففي هذا بَيانُ أن الغُسل للصلاتَين ليس بِحَتم، وأنه اختيارٌ من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصحابه، فإن كلفت لهذا المعنى؛ فحَسَن، وإن توضَّأت لكُلِّ صلاة إذا عَقَلَت انقضاء أقرائها وإقبال حَيضها من إدباره؛ فحَسَن.
