And he said: "Regarding the mustahada, there is another opinion." The one most pleasing to him—as far as I know and the one he mentioned most frequently—is: from one state of purity to another, and she performs wudu for every prayer.

585 - Ahmad ibn Yunus narrated to us, saying: al-Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Urwah, from 'A'ishah, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that she said: Umm Habibah bint Jahsh asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for a fatwa, and she said: "I am experiencing istihada (irregular bleeding)." He replied: "It is only a vein, so perform ghusl and pray." She would perform ghusl for every prayer.

586 - Abu Bakr al-Humaydi narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, saying: al-Zuhri narrated to us, from 'Amrah bint 'Abd al-Rahman, from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that Habibah bint Jahsh experienced istihada for seven years. She asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he said: "It is only a vein, and it is not menstruation (haydah)." So he commanded her to perform ghusl and pray. She would perform ghusl for every prayer and sit in a tub, and the blood would rise.

Sufyan said: "What I memorized in the hadith is 'that Habibah bint Jahsh', while people say 'that Umm Habibah'."
