Masa'il Harb al-Kirmani: Book of Purification (Taharah) and Prayer (Salah) - Edited by al-Surayyi'
Volume 1 · Page 254

Translation · EN

Al-Awza'i was asked: A woman whose menstrual cycle is seven or five days sees purity for three days, then sees yellow or turbid discharge after the three days? He said: "She does not pray."

618 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir al-Dimashqi and 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, they said: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Amr al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Rabi'ah and Yahya ibn Sa'id, that they both narrated to him regarding a woman who has a known and established menstrual cycle, when she sees blood on the first day of her cycle, she abstains from prayer. I said to Rabi'ah and Yahya: What if she sees fresh blood on the first day of her cycle for a day or two, then sees clear purity? They both said: "If she sees it clearly by night or by day, she performs ghusl and prays."

619 - Al-Walid said: It was said to Abu 'Amr: May her husband have intercourse with her during that purity before she completes her cycle, if he commands her and she performs ghusl and prays? He said: "If she believes that it will return to her during the remainder of her cycle, then abstaining from her is more beloved to me." Abu 'Amr said: "And if he does, there is no kaffarah (expiation) upon him."

Notes

(1) In the original text, it is unpointed (without diacritical marks), and perhaps he intended: "amara-ha" (he commanded her).
