Muhammad ibn al-Wazir said: Al-Walid said: It was said to Abu 'Amr: What if she sees that purity on one of the nights of the month of Ramadan, and she performs ghusl, and dawn breaks upon her while she is pure? He said: "She fasts her day, and if it does not return during it, then she has fasted her day." It was said to Abu 'Amr: Must she make up for it if she makes up for the days of her menstrual cycle? He said: "No."
It was said to Abu 'Amr: Tell me, if her husband had divorced her for her 'iddah (waiting period), and she counted that menstruation, then saw clear purity before completing her cycle, and she performed ghusl and prayed, is she then more entitled to herself, and is she permissible for suitors? He said: "Yes, if that purity continues and it does not return during the remainder of the cycle."
620 - Abu 'Amr Shabab al-'Asfari narrated to us, he said: ... narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Awn narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Hasan, he said: "If she sees purity in less than the days of her cycle, she prays, and if she sees blood afterwards, she abstains from prayer."
Chapter: Menstruation Before the Time
• I asked Ahmad, I said: A woman used to menstruate once every twenty days, then she menstruated in thirteen days, or fifteen days, or less? He said: "She looks to her time and her habit that she used to have, and does not pay attention [to] that," implying that it is the twenty days.
• As for Ishaq, I heard him saying: "If the blood that she saw before her time was black blood, then it is menstruation; she abandons prayer. But if it is yellow or turbid discharge, she does not abandon prayer until her time arrives."
