638 - Abd al-A'la narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn al-Harith narrated to us, saying: Ash'ath narrated to us, from al-Hasan and Muhammad, that they both said: "If she menstruates within the time [of prayer], there is no qada' (make-up) upon her, but if she menstruates after the time has passed and she had not yet prayed, then she is required to make up that prayer," according to the opinion of al-Hasan and Muhammad.
639 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: I asked al-Awza'i about a woman upon whom the time for prayer entered, and she delayed the prayer until she menstruated while the time had not yet expired; is she required to make up that prayer? He said: "No." I said: "What if the time expired and she had not prayed, then she menstruated?" He said: "She makes it up when she becomes pure."
640 - Abu Hisham narrated to us, saying: Hassan ibn Ibrahim narrated to us—regarding a woman who is in her prayer and feels that menstruation has moved from its place or flowed—he said: Ya'qub said: "She continues in her prayer as long as it has not exited."

642 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: Marwan ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: I heard Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz say: "It is appropriate for a woman to time her prayer on the day she menstruates, so she performs wudu' (ablution) and hastens to pray before menstruation overtakes her."
