652 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: I asked Malik ibn Anas about a menstruating woman who sees purity at the setting of the sun; which prayer should she perform? He said: "She performs the 'Asr, and there is no makeup (qada') incumbent upon her for the Dhuhr."
653 - Hannad ibn al-Sari narrated to us, saying: Waki' ibn al-Jarrah narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, who said: "When a menstruating woman becomes pure, she does not perform makeup except for the prayer in whose time she became pure."
654 - Abu 'Amr 'Imran ibn Yazid ibn Khalid ibn Muslim ibn Abi Jamil al-Qurashi narrated to us, saying: Isma'il ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Abu 'Amr al-Awza'i was asked about a menstruating woman who sees purity at the end of the daytime, at the setting of the sun, and was [engaged] in her ghusl until the sun set; he did not see any makeup of her day's prayer upon her.
He was asked about a woman who sees purity at the end of the night, then performs ghusl; if she were to perform the Maghrib and the 'Isha', the dawn would overtake her before she finishes, so with which [prayer] should she begin? He said: "With the 'Atamah (the 'Isha') if she fears the dawn [will arrive]."
And al-Awza'i said—regarding the menstruating woman if she sees purity during the time of the 'Isha'—: "As long as the time has not passed, she performs the makeup of the Maghrib and the 'Isha' if she was negligent, and if the time has passed and she has not prayed, there is nothing upon her."
(1) Thus it is in the original, and the correct reading is: "she performs the prayer (tusalli)."
