And al-Awza'i said: "Every woman who becomes pure during a time [of prayer], yet is negligent and delays her ghusl and prayer when she becomes pure; she must perform the makeup (qada') of that prayer, but we do not place upon her the obligation of makeup if it is during the predawn time (sahar)—even if she was negligent"—according to what we have memorized from him. And he said: "If she performs ghusl during the predawn time, she performs the Maghrib and 'Isha', and if she leaves the 'Isha' until the morning, there is no makeup upon her."
655 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: I said to Abu 'Amr—regarding a woman who sees purity from her menstruation at the end of the Dhuhr time, then she delayed her ghusl and did not finish it until the Dhuhr time had exited; is she obligated to perform the makeup of the Dhuhr?—he said: "She is commanded to perform it, and the 'Asr is incumbent upon her."
And Abu 'Amr said: "If she sees purity at the end of the 'Asr time before the yellowing (of the sun) enters, for an amount of time that allows her to perform one prayer." He said: "She performs the 'Asr, then she performs the Dhuhr."
Abu 'Amr said: "If she becomes pure but does not finish her ghusl until the 'Asr time exits and the yellowing [of the sun] has entered, she is commanded to perform the Dhuhr then the 'Asr, and the 'Asr is unavoidable; because the end of the 'Asr time is before the sun sets, for the one who forgot, for the menstruating woman, and for the sleeper."
Abu 'Amr said: "If she sees purity, and finishes her ghusl before the sun sets, before [having enough time to] perform one prayer; she performs ghusl and performs the 'Asr, and there is no makeup upon her for the Dhuhr. The menstruating woman in her makeup of the Dhuhr after the sun sets is not in the same status as the one who forgot or the sleeper; for the 'Asr is hastened before the sun sets, and the makeup of the Dhuhr is incumbent upon him [the one who forgot or the sleeper] after the Maghrib."
