Abu Ya'qub said: "If what the pregnant woman sees is not like menstrual blood, and it does not occur at that time which used to come before that—[if] she sees it then it stops, or she sees it for days then it stops for days, [if] it is irregular for her—then the precaution for her is that she should perform the ritual bath (ghusl), then pray and fast."
681 - Ishaq said: Abu Malik informed me, from Hammad ibn Salamah, from Bakr ibn 'Abd Allah al-Muzani, who said: "My wife menstruates while she is pregnant."
682 - Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Naysaburi narrated to us, saying: 'Abd Allah ibn Nafi' narrated to us—by recitation—from Malik ibn Anas, that he asked Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri about the pregnant woman who sees blood; [he replied] that she should abandon prayer.
683 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: Abu 'Amr al-Awza'i said: "The pregnant woman does not menstruate, and she does not abandon prayer; neither during her [usual] days of menstruation, nor during days other than her days of menstruation."

• قال أبو يَعقوب: «فإن كان ما رَأَت الحامِل لَيسَ كَدَم الحَيضَة، ولا يكون حنثها (١) لِذلك الوَقت الذي يَجيء قَبل ذلك؛ تَراه ثم يَنقَطِع، أو تَراه أيامًا ثم يَنقَطِع أيامًا؛ يَختَلِف ذلك عَلَيها؛ فالاحتياط لَها: أن تَغتَسِل، ثم تُصَلِّي وتَصوم».
٦٨١ - قال إسحاق: وأخبرني أبو مالك، عن حَمَّاد بن سَلَمَة، عن بكر بن عبد الله المزني، قال: «امرَأَتي تَحيض وهي حُبلَى».
٦٨٢ - حدثنا محمد بن يَحيى النيسابوري، قال: ثنا عبد الله بن نافع -قِراءةً-، عن مالك بن أنس، أنه سأل ابن شِهاب الزُّهري عن المرأة الحامِل تَرَى الدم؟ أنها (٢) تَدَع الصَّلاة.
٦٨٣ - حدثنا محمد بن الوَزير، قال: ثنا الوَليد بن مُسلِم، قال: ثنا أبو عَمرو الأوزاعي، قال: «الحامِل لا تَحيض، ولا تَترُك الصَّلاة؛ لا ما كان في أيام حَيضها، ولا في غَير أيام حَيضها».
