699 - 'Ali ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, saying: Hakim al-Athram narrated to us, from Abu Tamimah al-Hujaymi, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever approaches a soothsayer (kahin) and believes what he says, or approaches a menstruating woman, or approaches a woman in her anus, has dissociated himself from what was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."
700 - Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Baqiyyah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, who said: Yazid ibn Abi Malik narrated to us, from Ibn Zayd ibn al-Khattab, from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, that he had a wife who disliked men, and whenever he desired her, she would feign menstruation. He suspected she was lying, so he approached her, and found she was telling the truth. He came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he commanded him to give in charity two-fifths of a dinar.
701 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman and Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Badhimah, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, that a man informed him that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about having intercourse with his wife while she was menstruating, and he commanded him to emancipate a slave. Ibn 'Abbas said: "And the value of a slave in those days was a dinar."
