• I asked Ishaq, and I said: There are people among us who are polytheists (mushrikun), called the "Khabisiyyin," who eat carrion, drink wine, and do not perform ghusl after janabah (major ritual impurity), and they make garments impure. So what do you say about wearing these garments before they are washed, and praying in them? He said: "There is no harm in it. It is reported from al-Hasan that he said: 'There is no harm in praying in garments woven by a Magian,' meaning: before they are washed."

73 - Ahmad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Hibban ibn Musa narrated to us, saying: I asked 'Abd Allah about praying in the garment of a Magian. He said: Hisham narrated to me, from al-Hasan, that he said: "There is no harm in it."

74 - al-Musayyab ibn Wadih narrated to us, saying: Abu Ishaq narrated to us, saying: I asked Sufyan and Hisham about what we obtain of the polytheists' garments in the lands of the Byzantines (al-Rum); should we pray in them before they are washed? They said: "There is no harm in it."

75 - al-Musayyab narrated to us, saying: Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Za'idah and Makhlad, from Hisham, from al-Hasan, that he said—regarding garments woven by the Magians that are brought before they are washed—: "There is no harm in praying in them."

76 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Matar al-Warraq, from al-Hasan, that he saw no harm in praying in the Sabiri (a type of thin, fine garment), the Dastuwai (another type of garment), and the like, before they are washed.
