869 - Al-Walid said: Ibn Lahi'ah informed me, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from 'Abd Allah ibn Ghiyath al-Qawdhani, who said: "I prayed with Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and the Imams after them; whenever the Imam finished reciting the Opening of the Book (Fatihat al-Kitab) and said: 'nor of those who go astray' (walad-dallin), he would say: 'Amin,' raising his voice with it, and those behind him would say: 'Amin,' until the people would echo it, and then he would begin the next recitation."
870 - Al-Walid said: Ibn Lahi'ah said: And Musa ibn Jubayr al-Ghafiqi informed me, from 'Imran ibn 'Awf al-Ghafiqi, that Ibn 'Umar led them in prayer at al-Juhfah in the tents, and when he finished reciting: 'nor of those who go astray' (walad-dallin), he said: 'Amin,' and raised his voice with it.
871 - Al-Walid said: And Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash said: 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Ubayd Allah informed me, from Wahb ibn Kaysan and Nu'aym ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: "We used to pray behind Abu Hurayrah, and when he recited: 'nor of those who go astray' (walad-dallin), he would say: 'Amin,' extending his voice with it."
872 - Al-Walid said: And Salim informed me, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurayrah, that he was a muezzin in Bahrain, and he used to stipulate to the Imam: 'Do not precede me in saying "Amin."'
