873 - Al-Walid said: Isma'il said: And Abu Bakr ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Maryam informed me, from al-Haytham ibn Malik, that when the prayer was established, Abu al-Darda' would say: "Hasten with us so that we may catch the 'Amin'."
874 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn Wa'il ibn Hujr, from his father, who said: "I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and when he finished the Opening of the Book (Fatihat al-Kitab), he said: 'Amin,' and raised his voice with it."
875 - And Nasr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, saying: Safwan ibn 'Isa narrated to us, from Bishr ibn Rafi', from a cousin of Abu Hurayrah, called Abu 'Abd Allah, who said: Abu Hurayrah said: "Indeed, when the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: 'not of those who have earned Your anger nor of those who go astray,' he would say: 'Amin,' making the first row hear it."
• And I asked Ishaq, and I said: "If a man recites the Hamd (al-Fatiha) behind the Imam, when he finishes, should he say: 'Amin'?" He said: "Yes." I said: "And when the Imam finishes, should he also say: 'Amin'?" He said: "Yes." I said: "In the prayer and outside of the prayer? And when he finishes the Hamd, he says: 'Amin'?" He said: "Yes."
876 - Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, saying: Suhayl ibn Sabrah narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abi Layla narrated to me, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Hujayyah, from 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), when he finished the Opening of the Book (Fatihat al-Kitab), say: 'Amin.'"
