Chapter: Blood from Wounds Affecting Clothing
• I said to Ahmad: A man has a wound and is wearing a garment, and pus, blood, or something else gets on his garment? He said: "Whenever it becomes excessive on it, he must wash it." What about one with smallpox? He said: "He washes his garment whenever it becomes excessive on it."
• I said to Ahmad: A man has a wound and has tied a cloth over it, and the blood appears above the cloth? He said: "If it is small, I hope it is permissible [to overlook], but if it is excessive, he must remove the cloth from it, wash the blood from it, and wash the cloth."
94 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: Marwan ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: al-Qasim ibn Humayd narrated to us, saying: al-Nu'man narrated to me, from Makhul, who said: "If blood appears on the bandage, he should cover it with another bandage."
Chapter: Qalas (Regurgitation)
• I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal asked about qalas if it is frequent: "He repeats the wudu."
• Ahmad said again, regarding qalas if it is excessive: "He repeats the wudu."
• I asked Ishaq about qalas, and he said: "He repeats it, whether it is little or much."
95 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: al-Walid narrated to us, from Abu 'Amr: "Wudu is required for qalas if it appears on the tongue, and he restarts his prayer if he experiences qalas while he is in prayer."
(1) Perhaps the word "qultu" (I said) was omitted here. (2) Perhaps the word "faqala" (he said) was omitted here.
