920 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: I said to Abu 'Amr al-Awza'i: 'When a man raises his head from prostration, or intends to rise from his tashahhud, should he rely on his hands, or should he rise on the balls of his feet?' He replied: 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn Bukht informed me that he heard Ibn Shihab say: 'Among the Sunnah of prayer is for a man to rely on his hands during prayer.'
921 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Khalid ibn Ilyas, from Salih, the mawla of al-Taw'amah, from Abu Hurayrah - may Allah be pleased with him - that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to rise in prayer on the balls of his feet.
922 - Yahya al-Himmani narrated to us, saying: 'Abd Allah ibn Zayd ibn Aslam narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather, that 'Umar used to rise on the balls of his feet in prayer.
923 - Yahya narrated to us, saying: Sharik narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from 'Atiyyah, who said: 'I saw Ibn 'Umar rising in prayer on the balls of his feet.'
924 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from 'Umarah, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, from Ibn Mas'ud, that he used to rise in prayer on the balls of his feet.
