941 - Abu Naqi (1) Hisham ibn 'Abd al-Malik al-Himsi narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Harb narrated to us, saying: My mother narrated to me, from her mother, from al-Miqdam ibn Ma'dikarib, that he used to say between the two prostrations: "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, honor me, restore me, and elevate me."
942 - Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, saying: al-Walid narrated to us, saying: Sa'id informed me, from Makhul, that he used to say between the two prostrations: "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, and provide for me."
Chapter: What One Says When the Imam Raises His Head from Ruku' (Bowing)
• I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal say: "The Imam says: 'Our Lord, to You be praise, filling the heavens, filling the earth, and filling whatever You will besides.' The same applies to the individual when he is alone. When he is behind the Imam, he says: 'Our Lord, to You be praise'; he does not add anything to that, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When the Imam says: "Allah hears those who praise Him," then say: "Our Lord, to You be praise"'; he did not add anything to that."
• I heard Ahmad—another time—say: "The Imam says: 'Allah hears those who praise Him, our Lord, to You be praise; filling the heavens, filling the earth...'—the invocation that appeared in the hadith. Likewise, when the man is alone, and when he is behind the Imam, he says: 'Our Lord, to You be praise'; he does not add to it, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said—in the hadith of Abu Musa—he said: 'When the Imam says: "Allah hears those who praise Him"... (1) In the original it is left without diacritics/unspecified, and above it is written: "thus." The correct reading is: "Abu Taqi."(2) The text in the original is continuous, and it appears that an omission has occurred in it. The context following it is from the contexts of Ishaq, and this is indicated by his statement—two paragraphs later—: "And I heard Ishaq—another time—say."
