• "...then stand upright until your spine is straight, then say (1): 'O Allah, our Lord, to You be praise; filling the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and filling whatever You will besides.'"

• I heard Ishaq—another time—say: "When you raise your head from bowing, say: 'Allah hears those who praise Him,' then stand upright until every member of yours settles, then say: 'O Allah, our Lord, to You be praise,' and if you wish, you may say: 'O Allah, our Lord, and to You be praise,' and if you wish, you may say what has come down from Ali ibn Abi Talib—may Allah be pleased with him—and it is more beloved to me."
943 - Hisham ibn 'Ammar al-Dimashqi narrated to us, saying: Suwayd ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz narrated to us, Yazid ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us, from Qaza'ah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri—may Allah be pleased with him—that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) raised his head from bowing, he would say: "O Allah, our Lord, to You be praise; filling the heaven and filling the earth and filling whatever You will besides; O Possessor of praise and glory. Most truthful is that which the servant has said, and we are all Your servants. O Allah, there is no preventer of what You have given, and no giver of what You have withheld, and no fortune can benefit its possessor against You."
944 - al-Husayn ibn Mahdi and Muhammad ibn 'Awf narrated to us, saying (2): 'Abd al-A'la Abu Mushir narrated to us, saying: Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz informed us, from 'Atiyyah ibn Qays, from Qaza'ah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri—may Allah be pleased with him—that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Allah hears those who praise Him," he would say: "Our Lord, and to You be praise; filling [442] the heavens and filling the earth and filling whatever You will besides; O Possessor of praise and glory. Most truthful is that which the servant has said; we are all Your servants. There is no preventer of what You have given, and no giver of what You have withheld, and no fortune can benefit its possessor against You."
