1 - Abu Ma'an narrated to us, saying: Ghundar narrated to us, saying: Sa'id ibn Abi 'Aruba narrated to us, from Qatada, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib and al-Sha'bi—regarding a man who sees blood on his garment after he finishes [prayer]—they both said: "He does not have to repeat it, his prayer has passed."
2 - Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, saying: Hisham ibn 'Urwa narrated to us, that he heard his wife, Fatima bint al-Mundhir ibn al-Zubayr, say: I heard my grandmother, Asma bint Abi Bakr (may God be pleased with them both), say: A woman asked the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) about menstrual blood that gets on a garment? The Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said: "Scrape it, then rub it with water, then sprinkle it, and pray in it."
3 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: al-Yaman ibn 'Adi narrated to us, saying: I heard al-Dahhak ibn Humra say—regarding a man who prays while there is blood, feces, or the like on his garment—he said: "If he did not see it before he prayed, he does not have to repeat it. But if he did see it before he prayed, then neglected to wash it, or forgot it, and then prayed in it, he must repeat the prayer."
• I asked Ishaq—another time—about a man who prayed while there was blood on his garment the size of four fingers; should he repeat the prayer? He said: "He does not repeat it, but he washes it for what he resumes."
• And I asked Ishaq—another time—I said: A man is an imam for a people, leading them in prayer, and those behind him see blood the size of four fingers on the imam's garment, but the imam does not see it himself? He said: "They should signal him with a gesture." I said: If they did not do so and prayed? He said: "It sufficed for them and for the imam."
