Chapter: The Prostration of Gratitude (Sajdat al-Shukr)
• I asked Ishaq about the prostration of gratitude. He said: "It is a sunnah upon victory, upon battle for the sake of good news, and for every matter pertaining to the Hereafter." He said: "And the hadith of Ibrahim that he disliked it, it only pertains to worldly matters."
1075 - al-Nadr ibn Tahir al-'Absi narrated to us, he said: Bakkar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Abi Bakrah narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that when a matter came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that pleased him, he would fall down prostrate in gratitude to Allah.
1076 - Sa'id ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: Hushaym and Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim, that he disliked the prostration of relief (sajdat al-faraj).
