It was said: And if he had prayed for days or months? He said: "Repeating the prayer is more pleasing to me." It was said: And do you consider it obligatory (must) for him to repeat it? He said: "Yes."
It was said: And what if he did not know that there was a latrine in the direction of his qibla? He said: "That is lighter [in severity]."
It was said: What if there are two walls between them: a wall for the mosque and another wall for the latrine? He said: "I hope there is no harm in that."
He said: "Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dislike plastering the mosque except with clean earth."
It was said: What if there is a sutra (partition) other than the wall? He said: "If it is made of reeds or wood, I hope there is no harm in it," and he did not grant a concession for it if it was made of felt (lubud). It was said: What if it is to the right of the qibla or to its left? He said: "There is no harm."
1148 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: Baqiyyah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, saying: Al-Awza'i was asked about a man praying while in front of him is a latrine, and between him and the latrine is a wall made of reeds; should he pray towards it? He said: "I see no harm in that."
1149 - Ahmad ibn Nasih narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr narrated to us, from Mansur, who said: "They used to dislike praying towards the wall of a latrine."
1150 - Muhammad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Hassan narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Mughirah, from Ibrahim, who said: "They used to dislike three locations being in the direction of the qibla: the bathhouse, the latrine, and the grave."

قيل: فإنه صَلَّى أيامًا أو أشهُرًا؟ قال: «الإعادَة أحبُّ إليَّ». قيل: وتَرى عَلَيه الإعادَة؟ قال: «نَعم».
قيل: فإن لم يَكُن يَدري أن في قِبلَته كَنيفًا؟ قال: «هو أهوَن».
قيل: فبَينهما حائطين: حائطًا للمسجِد، وحائطًا (١) آخَر للكَنيف؟ قال: «أرجو ألَّا يكون بِهِ بأس».
قال: «وكان ابن مسعود -رضي الله عنه- يَكرَه أن يُكلس المسجِد إلا بِتُرابٍ طَيِّب».
قيل: فإن كان سُترَةٌ سِوى الحائط؟ قال: «إذا كان من قَصَبٍ أو خَشَب؛ فأرجو ألَّا يكون بِهِ بأس»، ولم يُرَخِّص فيه إذا كان من لنود (٢). قيل: فإن كان عن يَمين القِبلَة أو عن يَسَارها؟ قال: «لا بأس».
١١٤٨ - حدثنا عَمرو بن عُثمان، قال: ثنا بَقيَّة بن الوَليد، قال: سُئل الأوزاعي عن رَجلٍ يُصَلِّي وبَينَ يَدَيه حُشّ، ودون الحُشِّ جِدارٌ من قَصَبٍ؛ أيُصَلِّي نَحوَه؟ قال: «لا أعلَم بِذلك بأسًا».
١١٤٩ - حدثنا أحمَد بن ناصح، قال: ثنا أبو بكر، عن مَنصور، قال: «كانوا يَكرَهون أن يُصَلُّوا إلى حائط حُشّ».
١١٥٠ - حدثنا محمد بن نصر، قال: ثنا حَسَّان، عن سُفيان، عن المُغيرَة، عن ⦗٥٣٢⦘ إبراهيم، قال: «كانوا يَكرَهون ثَلاثَةَ أبياتٍ أن تكون قِبلَة: الحَمَّام، والحُشّ، والقَبر».
