116 - Mahmud ibn Khalid narrated to us, he said: Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: And Ibn Lahi'ah informed me, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hurayrah, from his father [from] Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "When water is forty qullahs (water skins or measures), it does not carry impurity."
117 - Al-Walid said: I mentioned that to Layth ibn Sa'd, and he said: "We say: When the water is forty qullahs or a bucket or the like, filth makes it impure, unless it is a large amount. Do you not see the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): 'Let no one of you urinate in standing water'?"
118 - Ahmad ibn Yunus narrated to us, he said: Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), that he forbade urinating in standing water.
119 - Abu Bakr al-Humaydi narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, Abu al-Zinad narrated to us, he said: Musa ibn Abi 'Uthman informed me, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Let no one of you urinate in standing water, and then perform ghusl (full ablution) from it."
