Chapter: Removing Pebbles from the Mosque

1198 - I heard Ishaq ibn Ibrahim saying: Yahya ibn Adam informed us, from Abu Bakr ibn 'Ayyash, from Abu Hasin, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "When a pebble is taken out of the mosque, it wails."

1199 - 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn al-Dahhak narrated to us, saying: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Ja'far, from Layth, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: "When a pebble is taken out of the mosque, it insults—or: curses—the one who takes it out."

Chapter: One Who Spends the Night on the Roof of the Mosque

• I said to Ishaq: May a man sleep with his family on the roof of the mosque? He said: "I do not like for him to make it a place to spend the night or a place for a midday nap."
