1200 - Muhammad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Hassan narrated to us, saying: Yunus ibn Yazid al-Ayli narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, that he disliked urinating on the roof of the mosque, or having intercourse on the roof of the mosque.
1201 - Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Quta'i narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Samad ibn 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, saying: Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah, that he disliked for a man to have intercourse on the roof of the mosque.
Chapter: Adorning the Mosques
• I asked Ishaq, I said: What about plastering [the walls of] the mosques? He said: "It is worse and worse; mosques should not be adorned except with prayer and righteousness."
1202 - Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us, saying: 'Amir narrated to us, saying: Hisham ibn 'Urwah narrated to me, from his father, from 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the building of mosques in residential areas, and ordered that they be perfumed and cleaned.
1203 - Hisham ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abi al-Jun narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Salih al-Madani narrated to us, saying: Muslim ibn Abi Maryam narrated to me, from Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Whoever removes harmful matter from the mosque, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."
