123 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, he said: Al-Walid narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, who said: "There is no harm in eating fruit from which a monkey has eaten (leftovers)," but he disliked performing ablution with its leftover water, and he said: "It is the most impure of leftovers."
124 - Abu Ma'n narrated to us, he said: Khalid ibn al-Harith narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, that he used to dislike performing ablution with the leftover water of beasts of prey.
125 - And Hammad said: "If one performs ablution with their leftover water, then he must repeat the ablution and repeat the prayer."
Chapter: The Leftover Water of a Mouse
126 - I asked Ishaq ibn Ibrahim about performing ablution with the leftover water of a mouse. He said: Sufyan was asked about performing ablution with the leftover water of a mouse, and he disliked it.
127 - Abu al-Azhar narrated to us, he said: Al-Fazari narrated to us, he said: Al-Awza'i was asked about performing ablution from the leftover water of a mouse, and he said: "There is no harm in it."
• I said to Ishaq: (What about) eating cheese upon which a mouse has urinated? He said: "I do not approve of it, unless it is washed if that is possible, or he removes the spot of its urine from the cheese if it has stained it, and then eats the remainder."
128 - Muhammad ibn Adam al-Massisi narrated to us, he said: Sayf ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Sufyan, from someone who heard Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib say: "Forgetfulness comes from four things: cupping on the nape of the neck, eating (sour) apples, the leftover water of a mouse, and urinating in the place of bathing."
