He said: "As for those who said: 'If he is unconscious for a day and a night, he repeats all the prayers, but if he is unconscious for several days, he does not make up anything,' they have erred in the school of thought (madhhab). The ruling for the one who faints does not depart from these aspects which we have described, and they have contradicted these three aspects."
1264 - 'Abbas al-Narsi narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Layth informed us, from 'Ata', Tawus, and Mujahid; they said: "The one who faints repeats everything he missed."
1265 - 'Abbas al-Narsi narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: "He was unconscious for a month, so he made up the prayer of the day in which he regained consciousness."
1266 - 'Abbas narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, from 'Ubaydah (1), from Ibrahim, who said: "If he regains consciousness before the sun sets, he prays Dhuhr and 'Asr, and if he regains consciousness before the dawn rises, he prays Maghrib and 'Isha'."
• 'Abbas said: "We follow this."
(1) Thus it is in the original, and it is possible that the correct [name] is "Mughirah"; see: Ibn Abi Shaybah (6651), (6652).
