• And I asked Ishaq, saying: 'A woman who prayed while her head was uncovered?' He said: 'If she did so intentionally, she must repeat the prayer.'

• And I also asked Ishaq, saying: 'What if she prayed and some part of her body was exposed, such as a hand, a foot, or a thigh?' He said: 'As long as she did not intend that, it is permissible.' I said: 'What if she did it intentionally?' He said: 'She must repeat the prayer severely, and she must repent to Allah.'

1290 - Abu al-Azhar narrated to us, saying: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from 'Asim, from 'Amr ibn Salamah, who said: 'When my people returned from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, they said: "He said to us: 'Let the one among you who recites the most Quran lead you in prayer.'" He said: 'So they called me, and they taught me the bowing and the prostration. I used to lead them in prayer while I was a young boy wearing a torn cloak, and they used to say to my father: "Will you not cover your son's buttocks from us?"'

Chapter: A Group of People Emerging from the Sea Naked

• It was said to Ahmad: 'A group of people emerge from the sea naked; how should they pray?' They said: 'Sitting, with an imam.' I said: 'Does the imam stand in the middle of them?' He said: 'Yes, the imam stands in the middle of them; he does not stand in front of them, and they perform gestures (for the prayer).'

1291 - 'Amr ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, saying: al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Abu Bakr, who said: Mujahid ibn Jabr narrated to me that 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz asked him about a group of people whose ship was wrecked, and they emerged naked; how should they pray? I said: 'They should pray in one row, with their imam to their left, and each man among them should cover his private part with his left hand, without touching the private part itself.'
