Then it decreases every day slightly until it is the day of Dibir Roz of the month of Bahman Mah, which is the nineteenth of March. On that day, the day is twelve hours and the night is twelve hours; they are equal. On that day, the sun enters Aries, spring concludes, summer begins, and the night and day are equal. Then it passes the meridian on that day at three feet and one-third, or less or more—if Allah wills—and the beginning of the time for 'Asr on that day is: ten feet and one-third, or thereabouts—if Allah wills.

Then it decreases every day slightly until it is the day of Ard Roz of the month of Isfandarmudh Mah, which is the nineteenth of April. On that day, the day is thirteen hours and the night is eleven hours. On that day, the sun enters Taurus. Then it passes the meridian on that day at two feet less a sixth, or less or more—if Allah wills.

Then it decreases every day slightly until it is the day of Ard Roz of the month of Farwardin Mah, which is the nineteenth of May. On that day, the day is fourteen hours and the night is ten hours. On that day, the sun enters Gemini. Then it passes the meridian on that day at one foot less a trifle, or less or more—if Allah wills—and the beginning of the time for 'Asr on that day is: eight feet less a trifle, or thereabouts—if Allah wills.
