158 - Isa ibn Sulayman narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Quddus narrated to us, from Safwan, from Hassan ibn Azhar al-Saksaki, that Umar ibn al-Khattab—may Allah be pleased with him—said: "Do not perform ghusl with sun-warmed water; for it leads to vitiligo."
Chapter: Urinating in Flowing Water
• I asked Ishaq about urinating in flowing water? He said: "There is no sin in it, but if one avoids it, that is more beloved to me."
Chapter: What One Says When Entering the Latrine
• I said to Abu Abd Allah Ahmad: Should a man seek refuge (ta'awwudh) before he enters the latrine? He said: "Yes."
I said: Should he say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female devils (al-khubuth wa al-khaba'ith)?" He said: "This is narrated from Anas and Zayd ibn Arqam," and it was as if it pleased him.
159 - Hannad ibn al-Sari narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Muslim, from al-Hasan, from Anas ibn Malik—may Allah be pleased with him—he said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered the latrine, he would say: "In the name of Allah; O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the filthy, the impure, the wicked, the corrupting, the accursed Satan."
