Chapter: Wiping Part of the Head
• And Ahmad was asked—another time—it was said: A man wiped the front of his head? He said: "It is more beloved to me that he wipes the entire head."
182 - Abu Hisham Muhammad ibn Nasr narrated to us, he said: Hassan narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn 'Ajlan, from 'Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil, from al-Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh, who said: "I poured water for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he performed wudu'. Then he took with one of his hands and poured it upon the other, then he let them both loose and wiped with his hands over the front of his head and the back of it, his temples, and his ears, their outer and inner parts."
Chapter: How Should a Woman Wipe Her Head?
• And Ahmad was asked: How should a woman wipe her head? He said: "From underneath the head covering (khimar), and she does not wipe over the head covering." It was said to him: Does she wipe the entire head? He said: "Some of them have said: She wipes the front of her head, and they differed regarding it," as if he granted a concession in that.
o And his position is: That she wipes the head.
183 - Muhammad ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us, he said: Sharik narrated to us, from 'Abd al-A'la, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, who said: "A woman wipes the front of her head."
