200 - Al-Musayyab ibn Wadih narrated to us, he said: Abu Ishaq al-Fazari narrated to us, from Hisham, from al-Hasan, who said: "If a man performs wudu' and splashes his feet in the water, that suffices him in place of washing them."
Chapter: Washing the Heel
• I said to Ahmad: "What about one who does not wash his heel?" He said: "It does not suffice him," and he was very strict regarding that, and he said: "He must wash the heel."
• I asked Ahmad about wiping over the feet? He said: "It has been narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, from more than one source that he washed his feet."
Chapter: One Who Interrupts His Wudu'
• Ahmad was asked about a man who interrupts his wudu'? He said: "If his wudu' dries, he must repeat it."
Chapter: One Who Leaves a Part of His Wudu' Area
• I asked Ahmad—another time—and said: "What if he leaves a spot or something similar from his wudu' area?" It was as if he leaned towards the view that he must repeat it if it has dried."
