258 - Khālid b. Khidāsh narrated to us: ʿAbd Allāh b. Wahb narrated to us, he said: Saʿīd b. Abī Ayyūb narrated to me, he said: A man from Quraysh said to Ibn Shihāb: "Is there any singing in Paradise? For singing has been made beloved to me." He said: "Yes, by the One in whose hand is the soul of Ibn Shihāb, indeed in Paradise there are trees whose fruit is pearls and chrysolite, beneath which are full-breasted maidens singing like singing girls, saying: 'We are the blissful ones who never suffer, and we are the eternal ones who never die.' When those trees hear that, they clap against one another and answer the maidens, so it is not known whether the voices of the maidens are more beautiful or the sounds of the trees."
