Yahya said: And His saying: "neither trained to till the earth nor to irrigate the crops" is interpreted by Ibn Abbas as: it is not used for plowing nor is it used for irrigation.
قَالَ يَحْيَى: وَقَوله: ﴿لَا ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ الأَرْضَ وَلا تَسْقِي الْحَرْثَ﴾ تَفْسِير ابْن عَبَّاس: لَا يُحْرَثُ عَلَيْهَا وَلَا يُسْقَى [عَلَيْهَا].
